What is this guide for? Running a hypervisor crack disables critical Windows security protections and gives untrusted code Ring -1 access — below your OS, below Windows, and below your antivirus. This guide restores every protection that was disabled. It does not guarantee your system is 100% clean if a sophisticated attack already occurred, but it closes the vulnerability and removes the exposure.
Before You Start
- Change your most important passwords from a different device (phone, tablet, friend's PC) before you begin — just in case
- Disconnect from the internet while following this guide
- Back up important personal files to an external drive before the nuclear option in Step 8
Uninstall the Hypervisor Service
Must be done first — before anything else
- Open the game folder where you installed the HV crack
- Find the hypervisor loader tool — commonly named
HV_Loader.exe,EfiGuard,hvLoader, or similar - Right-click → Run as Administrator
- Click "Stop Service"
- Click "Uninstall Hypervisor"
- Close the tool and delete the entire game folder
Fix Boot Settings via Command Prompt
Re-enables Driver Signature Enforcement (DSE)
Open Command Prompt as Administrator (search "cmd" → right-click → Run as Administrator) and run each command one at a time:
bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype auto
bcdedit /set nointegritychecks off
After all three commands — restart your PC.
Re-Enable Memory Integrity
The single most important protection to restore
- Open Windows Security
- Click Device Security
- Click Core Isolation Details
- Toggle Memory Integrity → ON
- Click Restart when prompted
Re-Enable Secure Boot in BIOS
Critical hardware-level protection
- Restart your PC and enter BIOS — press
DEL,F2, orF10during boot screen (varies by motherboard brand) - Navigate to the Security or Boot tab
- Find Secure Boot and set it to Enabled
- Save and exit (usually
F10)
Hunt Down Unsigned Kernel Drivers
Find any HV crack drivers still lurking
Open PowerShell as Administrator and run:
Any driver showing "False" in the Signed column is unsigned and potentially from the HV crack. Google each driver name — if it's HV-related or completely unrecognizable, find the driver file on your system and delete it.
Restore Windows Defender Fully
Re-arm all real-time protection settings
- Open Windows Security → Virus & Threat Protection
- Click Manage Settings
- Turn Real-Time Protection → ON
- Turn Tamper Protection → ON
- Run a Quick Scan, then a full Full Scan

Nuclear Option — Full Clean Reinstall
Only if Secure Boot failed or scans found something serious
- Back up personal files to an external drive (documents, photos — NOT system files)
- Create a Windows USB installer from a second device at
microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 - Boot from the USB and choose "Remove Everything" during reinstall
- After reinstall — check your motherboard manufacturer's website for a firmware/BIOS update and apply it
- Re-enable Secure Boot BEFORE you reinstall Windows for maximum protection
Warning Signs — Watch For These
Even after completing this guide, monitor your accounts for the next few weeks. If you notice any of these — change all passwords immediately from a different device and contact your bank.
